No, where you went wrong was in making promises you can't keep!

I made the comment recently that I will probably starve in my 80's, but at least I'll have smokes.

Re: what's your cigar budget?

I'm like a couple of the other posters here, being fairly new to cigars I don't really have a budget per se. If I had to gestimate, I'd say about 30/month average... I imagine once I find a brand I want to buy a whole box of (CAO Golds maybe) I would get 2 or 3 boxes a year, and only buy a couple odd singles here and there to mix things up. Really don't want to buy more than I can smoke, or else I will naturally smoke more, so I will buy more, and down the slippery slope I go...

About as much as it costs for a pack of swishers

About half of what I actually spend on them every month.

Re: what's your cigar budget?

I'm still in my initial collecting/sampling/fill-the-humidor phase and I've destroyed any semblance of a budget. Going forward I'm guessing it will level off at a conservative $50/month. I bring my lunch to work so there's that $50/month savings right there.

But I'll probably blow that budget too.

I've just been given an allowance for CBid from the wife and I went out and got a 48qt cooler this weekend. As soon as I can order some beads for it, I'll be off and running. Of course, I told the wife that the cooler is for a place to age the cigars and not necessarily for overstock (though that's not a problem yet). But so far it's been between $50-100 a month.

Re: what's your cigar budget?

Since I've just started my "collection" of sticks, there really wasn't a budget per se. Box purchases, humidor, cutters & other accessories set me back a bit. But I look at this as an investment for the next 2 years of smoking.

Then my spending should curtail itself to a small amount per month...maybe...

Re: what's your cigar budget?

Very little, thank God. I gots me feet on the slope, but my fingers are dug into the ledge. I can't bring myself to buy, because I got college coming up, and I need to be saving for that (hehe, yay for being a senior in high school.)

Re: what's your cigar budget?

I probably spend $40 a month. Bout to be a college student and im Afraid my cigar funds will be cut short. That would really suck being cigarless, don't want to think about that.
