what's your cigar budget?

just wondering how much everybody sets aside each week, month, etc. to spend on cigars and related stuff.
i'm relatively new to the game, so i'm only spending about $20/week on average. my goal right now is to just try as many different ones as possible, so that weekly budget usually gets split up into 2-5 different singles from the B&M.
i think my budget may increase a little as i find stuff i really like and start buying fivers and maybe even (gasp) a box.

Re: what's your cigar budget?

My budget is when I find something good at a decent price I buy them. The budget all depends on how much money is in my poket at the time too.

Re: what's your cigar budget?

I don't even want to think about it ... probably way more than I ought to spend. But, hey, it's my hobby and I'm sure that a lot of other hobbies are just as expensive ... that sounds like a rationalization doesn't it? Oh well ...

As a rule ... never more than 10% of my take home pay. Try to match Janes shoe budget ... it's only fair.

I would check into some bundle sticks if you are looking to buy some sticks on a budget. Flor De Oliva makes a great selection of affordable cigars and they taste great too. Their maduro is one of the best on the market.

Re: what's your cigar budget?

My cigar budget for second-quarter was spent during the first-quarter.

And so... My second-quarter budget will be about half of whatever I manage to scape up on various eBay sales.

Budget you say? Are we supposed to be budgeting for our sticks? So that's why we don't eat some weeks and the electricity keeps getting cut off!

Re: what's your cigar budget?

I told my wife look I don't have a boat nor a bike so since I am saving so much money on those two big items. It's a small price to pay for my only hobby. It works.

What a box of Padron 1926 compared to a boat or bike payment.

Paying the bills? Sure. But, there is this nice 50" plasma television that I have my eye on.

Our daughter is OTHS class of '99 ... just graduated from Purdue. That out of state tuition put a crimp in my cigar budget too ... lol.
