I think what we are seeing here is that it is difficult to say, "I don't like Cameroon." or "I like anything Cameroon." as a blanket statement. There are several cammies that are great, and some that disappoint. Personally, I don't like the Cameroon wrapped cigars that are just so spicy you don't taste anything but the Cameroon.

Don Carlos and Hemmigway are always in my box. Besides the cameroon wrapper; one of my favorites is the Corojo and sun grown wrapper. I belive the latter two have a little more spice, and body over the cameroon. The only one that I am not crazy about is the H2000 wrapper. I found it abit fragil, and on the thin side - they seem to crack or split a little easy.

Lots of posts and not a mention of the La Aurora 2006 Reserve Cammie and the CAO CX2. I have also had the LA Cammie (not the reserve) which was good but just lacked the finesse of the 2006. I also hate the fragility of these smokes, but find them to be worth the effort as some have mentioned.

When I think cammie, I think Hemmingway. And those are up there on my short list.

I see you mentioned Don Carlos...... are those Cameroon wrapped ??
If so, then I have to definetely have to put them up there with the upmann VC's.... every Don Carlos I've had (#4's usually) are STELLAR. Hemingway on the other hand, for my palate, are very so-so.

I still think the Upmann Vintage Cameroons are king though..... I could live on the Petite Coronas as a desert island smoke.... no prob...
JR's had a special over a year ago and I picked up 2 Jars--great price--Still have a few sleeping --the longer the better --Forgot about the Montecristo Afrique,-Love Em!

Try a Gurkha Nepalese Warrior. It is a class regent with a cameroon wrapper. I love that one along with the Oliva Series G, AF Don Carlos & Hemmingway and the H. Upmann Vintage Cameroon in the Lonsdale vitola.

I agree with tobacman and sonic...the H.UPMANN Vintage Cameroon is one excellent tastey cigar.....rapidly becoming a favourite of mine.

I think the CAO CX2 Robusto is one of the best cameroons on the market, two cameroon wrappers plus Nic and Columbian filler.

I'm not sure if you have tried it, but pair a cameroon cigar with Bourbon, the two are a match made in heaven!!
