I agree with John here. Really does enhance a cigar. I was showing Greg, LOK17, at the mini herf, and he coughed a bunch, but did get the idea and said you do get more flavors.

I can't taste even 10% of a full cigar taste profile unless I redirect at least 1/4 of each draw via my nose. For me, it is essential and required technique to fully taste every nuance of a cigar. It's also reflexive, since I've been doing it since age 18 (with cigs, which I quit long ago).

Blowing smoke out the nose ... also stimulates additional nicotine into the blood stream.

I used to do this awhile back, and will never forget the tears brought to my eyes from strong cigars...how embarrassing!

This is still hard for me to do.. I've been trying to do it all the time, but I think I am a little gun shy (I tried it with a Tat. Cojonu and almost lost it)..

It does give more flavor to the whole smoke.. Definitely smell and taste more..

More, more, more.. I like it..

I do this with wine, scotch, bourbons, cognacs, and tequila..

You blow wine, scotch, bourbon, cognac, and tequila out your nose? That's a little bizarre.

If it helps for anyone trying to figure it out still, though, it is the same motion as when you start laughing with milk in your mouth and the milk comes out your nose. But a lot more pleasant. I've got really sensitive sinuses or something, so I'm just working on it and slowly killing off the nerves in my nose.

I am working on this technique as well. What I have been doing is taking a puff, blowing out at least half of the smoke and then if I push my tongue up to the roof of my mouth and then just exhale through the nose it seems to work for me.

Haha! I knew someone was gonna jump on this..

I think you know what I mean.. If not, try blowing milk and corn.. I made a buddy of mine do that.. It looked painful..

I've been doing this for awhile now. I really think it helps you judge the flavor of a cigar. I don't however, recommend doing it with each puff.

Interesting, I will definitely give that a try on my next stick...I seem to want to naturally exhale smoke though my nose anyway.
