Anyone spot a fake Cuban?

A guy gave this to me at work today.
He said he'd had it in his humidor for a while.
I don't know much about Cuban cigar seeing as how I've only smoked 3.

The pics on the CI site are completely worthless due to their cartoony nature.
If they actually took pictures of the bands it might help.

I'm afraid yoou have a fake..As far as I know Trinidad does not make a Torpedo Shape..All the shapes I've seen have a pigtail cap...the sizes I know of are Fundadores..Robusto Extra..Reyes..Coloniales..
Unless it's something I haven't seen. I'm certainly not an EXPERT by any means.

Fake seems to me to, I back up Rob I think they meant well but it is not a real Cuban. The only way I now is real is by the box and seal it has a lot to do with authenticity. Just smoke and you will taste what it really is.

Definately fake unless Trinidad has come out with a new shape I am not aware of.

No offence dude, but that is one seriously fugly cigar. I haven't smoked a lot of Trinidads on my trips to Cuba, but have seen plenty in the Govt shops there, and I've always been amazed at the workmanship that they put into their smokes.

While I don't pretend to be an expert on Trinidad smokes (or any cigars for that matter), there are 4 sizes made by that brand in Cuba TTBOMK. There is a Toro size, and 3 sizes of Corona.

There's only 1 brand of ISOMs I've seen that truly has a wrapper as ugly as that, and that's Cuaba (fine smokes BTW).

Actually that wrapper isn't really that bad.
I've seen Partagas SD that looked worse.
Only reason I thought it was fake was the Piramide shape but I didn't know if they use to make one before they re-did the bands and really started marketing them.
