Stocking a humidor for the first time.

Hello all. Myself and a friend recently put some money together and invested in a nice humidor and stocked it with a small variety of 5 cigars with the left over money:
Bolivar Toro
Padron Anni '63
2 A. Fuente Hemingways (very dissatisfactory)
R.Patel Vintage '90

We picked up cigars that got good reviews in a couple Aficianados and what we read online, but we burned through them pretty quick and it is time to restock with greater numbers.
We will be glad to hear any advice or reccomendations for the first stock. We are looking for some cigars to age, some cigars for friday night light ups, some cigars for celebration. Above all else if you know of a cigar that is a great value and worth buying in numbers we will be glad to hear it. All advice is greatly appreciated!
The cigar world is big and beautiful, but overwhelming at the least.

didn't like the hemingway line? hmmm... check out a Carlos Torano 1959 Exodus Gold; CAO Brazilia; Rocky Patel Vintage '99 Conn. or the Rocky Patel Fusion (only find Fusions on CI though...); Cuban Crafters has some good sticks, i'd recommend any of the Don Kiki lines ; Oliva Serie G ... Those last two are great sticks for a pretty low price, good to pick up in bulk if you like em.

If you are looking to stock up quick without breaking the bank, check out the Flor De Oliva lines (I like the maduros), Sanco Panza has some good cigars that are value priced, and check out some of seconds from Rocky Patel. These aren't top of the line or profound sticks, but they are excellent for the price point. I would also suggest to pick up some five packs of different cigars and give thsoe a try. Keep going through different five packs until you find some things you like and base your purchases or style off of what you found. Famous smoke shop has a buy 3 get one 5 pack free and a buy 2 get one free five pack selection. Keep trying new things and don't look for what gets huge press and ratings, trust your own palate and your wallet. MDD.

I' say if you just read a few treads on this site you would get all kinds of ideas.
Not to mention learn a whole lot more about cigars.

If you're looking for some nice sticks at prices that would allow you to buy enough to smoke some now and let some age, I would suggest these:
-- La Gloria Cubana Medaille D’or No. 1 Maduro
-- Oliva Serie G Maduro Churchill
-- Nat Sherman Suave De Witt
-- Padron 2000

I would say go slow. Make sure when you stock they are cigars you have tasted and enjoy. You can definately go to fast a be stuck with smokes you do not particularly care for. I would suggest going to your local BM and buying a few nice smokes, give them a try and if you like them look for a deal and buy several or boxes of the ones you most like.

Thats neat to have a "Buddy Humi". I like the idea. That is a good way to talk about the cigars yall smoke. But only one Padron Anni '63? That cigar will start a fist fight between Yall!!!

Buy a boc of 40 Pirates Gold, you can get I think 40 for $50, I've never had any but I've read a couple good reviews on them!

There are some good ideas above....but I would just concentrate on trying various brands from different strength levels from different countries. Dont worry about doing any aging at this point for two reasons, #1, you dont know what you really like yet and #2, you are not setup to properly age yet.

Some of my favs that have an excellent price tag and are great sticks would be:

Partagas Black
Oliva Serie O Maduro and Serie G (Cammie)
La Gloria Cubana Maduros
La Gloria Serie R's
La Flor Dominicana Ligeros...try the L-200 or L-300 to start

Some bundles that are great...Flor De Oliva (was already mentioned) and the Spanish Gallieon available at Atlantic. It is a GREAT stick for the money and comes in two different wrappers.
