Crappy Weekend

I really look forward to my weekends. It's the only time I can enjoy a morning smoke out on the patio with a cup of Black Dog coffee and a newspaper. I also look forward to an afternoon smoke while doing some reading and maybe an evening one too while listening to a podcast. However, this weekend was a mess. Rain, rain, and more rain. I only managed a brief smoke in between rain storms on Sunday evening. It was a CAO Black VR. I don't know if it was the rain, the humidity or the cigar but it was the first time I tasted black licorice in a cigar. I'm not sure I liked it. But it could have been my mood. Just a crappy, rainy weekend with no end in sight for this week. Sigh. :angry:

I know how you feel. We have had horribly rainy weather up this way nearly all summer long. I have taken to going out into the shed to enjoy a stogie...it's not as nice as sitting out in the sunshine, smoking a cigar, and watching the birds flittering about in the trees. But, I guess the table saw has a certain beauty to it... :baffled:

Sorry to hear that. I hate it when that happens. I usually forego the cigar so that it doesn't have any negativity associated with the smoking experience. OK, who am I kidding? That's BS. I go ahead and have the cigar, in hopes that it makes it better. Sometimes it does. Even if not, a crappy weekend with a cigar is better than a crappy weekend without!

I'm right there with ya, Alan. You just got the weather an hour or so before we did. What an amazing set of storms we had roll through here and they're not going anywhere this week. It's gonna stink. I am able to retreat to my "shed" for a nice smoke, though, so it's not all bad on my end.

It's been raining here in Michigan for 2 days now. According to the weather is is supposed to be like this all week.

Send some of that rain down here guys! My lawn has turned to straw and crackles when I walk on it. Back in the olden days when it did rain, I noticed my cigars tasted a little differently as well. ...and they went out a lot.

Here's hoping things dry out for you soon bro! Nothing like the smell of wet dog.

Send some of that rain down here!!! We have a covered front porch so smoking when its raining usually isn't a big deal...unless its raining sideways......

I hear you about the rain. I was officiating 4 youth football games on Saturday and got just a bit wet. Thank goodness it was not yesterday!!! The fields I worked on Saturday were under water on Sunday and today when I made it in to work. But the sky is looking better now! Hope it is better in Rockford!
