Cigarlive Herf Contest - Win a Cuban Crafters Humidor

Cuban Crafters has generously donated a top quality humidor for a contest of my choice. I have thought about what kind of contest I would like to do and I finally came up with one that I thought would be fun and would allow members to meet up with other members.

CigarLive.com will now have a Contest for Herf/Meetup Pictures. We will start this contest and host it until the end of September.

Each member will take a picture of them and least one other member at a herf or event. It is simple but a picture says a thousand words. I want to see pictures of our members with other members.

Only pictures taken starting today will count.

One submission per member. The member submiting the photo is entered into a drawing for the Cuban Crafters Humidor. Any other members in the same picture are entered as well. Please post names of members in picture. Post all photos in this thread.

If you do not live near a member you can still play by simply having a friend that you herf with join Cigarlive.com and you are in. Simply use your Referral Link located at the top of the forum to send to your friends. Anyone signing up using that link will automatically be counted as a referral by you with your user ID. As an added bonus, every time you refer a new member you will be added to the end of the year contest for most active member referrals.

Questions I have been asked:

1. Stogie, are you eligible to participate?
Answer: No I am not participating in this contest.

2. Do pictures from the time the site began count towards the contest?
Answer: No, all pictures must be new ones.

3. Can I take pictures with my family members and friends?
Answer: Yes and No. If your friends and/or family members are actual Cigar smokers then YES you can refer them and use that picture for the contest. If they have no interest in Cigars or never smoke cigars whatsoever then NO please do not take a picture with them and use them as a referral since they will only be signing on to help you win and you will be taking advantage of the system... Not very considerate to others participating legitimately in the contest.

4. What are you doing to prevent cheating?
Answer: Now, I can't say exactly but I will say that I will be verifying the new referral accounts throughout the entire contest. If a member is caught cheating then they will be disqualified from the entire contest. No Exceptions.

5. Can I spam other websites, forums and mailing lists?
Answer: No, we do not want this contest to generate any SPAM on any other site. Please do not make blanket posts on other forums, sites, blogs etc that read "sign up and help me win". We want members that will help contribute to our growth and participation not just to help someone win our contest.

6. Why are your rules so tough?
Answer: My rules are only tough on those are cheating or are considering cheating. I will do my best to keep the competition 100% fair and level for EVERYONE. I want the prize to go to a member that played by the rules and did everything fair and square. Is that asking too much? I don't think so.

7. Why Pictures?
Answer: I like to see pictures of my fellow members having fun. Maybe this will drive more members to meet up.

8. What is the value of this humidor?
Answer: Sale $49 and Retail is $149 at CubanCrafters.com



9. Will there be more contest?
Answer: Yes, of course.

Well then, let the herfin' begin. Luckily the Metropolitan Society (www.metrocigar.com) in NJ meets next Wed. So I will have to take some pictures at the monthly herf. This month we are having a Cuban style pig roast on 9/19 and hopefully celebrating Castro's departure!
