My experience w/ Cuban Crafters is that they just make bad cigars in general.
My main smoking bro once described a Don Kiki brown label as "Metal shavings, mixed w/ burning paper and burning hair"

I have one in the humidor waiting to be smoked, so I hope they taste slightly better than hair.

If you want any suggestions I would post a thread that says something like....

Post good cigars in the following dollar ranges

$2

$3

$4

$5

$6

$7

$8

that way people can just copy the dollar amounts and fill in the blanks.
You'll get all kinds of good responses.

Dude, don't be too optimistic my boy Stephen knows his cigars.
I got him samples and he went through their whole line.

this is actually the first place i've seen something bad about a Don Kiki... tastes vary i guess, but they are a terrific bundle stick IMO. One of my favorites actually. Now i cant say i care for much else from the Cuban Crafter lines, but the Don Kikis are very nice. And dont worry if you dont like em, if it turns out you hate them, PM me and i'll trade you something of your choosing for em. I love the things, especially red lables.

now this suggests you've never tried one... i'd suggest at least trying it, i know pleanty of cigar gurus who have extremely varied tastes -- one may love a stick while the other hates it; and like i said, not one of them had a bad thing to say about the DK red label. Just cuz your buddy hates it doesnt mean you will. But either way, its not a universally bad stick. If you want, jump on the free DK sampler list and you can try one no expense to you... so if you hate it, nothing lost.

Only reason I mention my buddy is that we generally agree on cigars.
Not all the way but 95% of the time. As far as DK and CC go I can get all the free samples from them I want, I just don't want them. All that being said I'm not really a value cigar smoker.
