This is a discussion on Has anyone tried Padilla 1948? within the General Cigar Discussion forums, part of the The Cigar Lounges at Puff category; The box price isn't too bad and I was thinking about scoring some of these. Anyone already tried them?...

I've had 'em and they're phenomenal. It is one of my new favorite cigars and it might be my favorite new cigar. Buy 'em! They're good medium-full body with complex spices. It is very much in the cuban tradition (flavorwise). There is also a 1932 and 1968. Each one commemorates a year in the life of Heberto padilla - father of Ernesto who runs Padilla Cigars.
Heberto was a writer and poet in Cuba. 1932 Born 1948 Wrote first novel (16 years old) 1968 Wrote prize winning book - also thrown in jail by govt. Cigars commemmorat all those years and they're all great. My favorite so far has been the 1948. |

I smoked this today and it was awesome.
I posted the lancero in the review section and reviewed it. |

I have had the 1948 and the 1932. I think I like the 32 better but they are both great cigars!

I've tried the '32 (my favorite cigar to date), the '48 was not a stick I will soon revisit. It was way to mild and uneventful for me. The '68 on the other hand, I will try again. I've only had a couple, but so far, I liked what I had.
