When the first CAO Criollo came out I swore I could taste Rice Krispies so popcorn isn't so far out there. I've seen people note pickle brine and pencil lead before.

I had two and got that buttered popcorn nuttiness of both so I don't think it is off. I did enjoy the cigar but I wouldn't smoke it every day consider it costs over $10.

Are you talking about the "hand roll" that they sell at the resort. The one with the shaggy foot? Or is it the robusto size?

Come to think it, this does sound familiar. I am not very discerning yet on the palate but I recall getting a buttery overtone on a few cigars that I guess now I would categorize as maybe buttery popcornish. My god, listen to me...

I definitely tasted butter popcorn when I smoked the La Aroma de Redinbocker.

I equate that kind of flavor to a buttery hint within the flavors...I can see how popcorn would work.

Cool

There's a definite butter taste to the CAO Gold Maduro.

I had one of these moments the other day. Lit-up an Opus X torpedo of some sort and tasted toasted marshmellow. It both freaked me out a little and pleased me alot.

I'm intrigued. I may have to pick one of these Graycliffs the next time I'm watching a movie!
