Total Trashing of a Cigar

Well next week I'm writing a review where I call out a cigar as pure crap. (Review is written but I need to have it proofread first). I'm just completely amazed I couldn't find one redeeming quality about this cigar, but I'm sorry if a cigar costs $13 and hyped up you damn well better deliver something that reminds of dirt with a faint metallic/sulfurous taste. (think the order of lit fireworks).

Well, I have to admit that I'm curious. I'll have to read the review to see what it was. How many have you had? Is there a chance that it was an odd duck? I don't mean to defend the mystery stick but I suspect that there are people out there who do like the cigar.

An amazing amount of work goes into making a blend and into making each cigar so surely quite a few people in the cigar business thought it was a good blend. I'd be curious to hear you say exactly what the flavors were that you got. I know that there are cigar blenders who read the customer reviews on different sites so the more you can say, the more they can learn about your preferences and about what the cigar tasted like.

I don't mean to demean your bad experience. I'm just pointing out a few things because you made this thread.

Wow, I'm completely blown away that it's possible for someone to slam
a cigar and it to surface on this board. I mean someone other than me.

I may hold off on the review until I can try another, and typically I like their cigars but this one was rather disappointing. The other guys I talked to weren't real impressed with it either.

Heh... I won't keep you in suspense. Anyone else tried the Black Dragon yet?

I got 2 feet...err I mean about 2/3's of the way through it and had to put it out. It was all earth/dirt and nothing else flavor wise for most of the cigar.

Right now I've switched over to my current favorite the Palmas Puro Maduro.

Isn't it amazing how a $3 cigar can taste better than a $13 cigar?

Have an Avalon Juke and I'd be impressed if you could get through 5 minutes with it. Made me wanna vomit and all of my buddies split because of the stink.

I haven't tried the Juke isn't it flavored? I like their Master Blends the Honeyboy and the Pinetop.

As per the email I received that was dumb as anything, "scent and flavor of steaks on a grill". I was told to try the others, but there's no way I'm giving more of my $$ to that company if they know they're selling stinky sticks and he wouldn't even toss me 1 or 2 in the mail for my horrible experience with 2 of them. I'll make sure no one I know ever buys from that company because he was so flippant about the stink of those cigars. I had to fight the gag reflex.

I had a robusto size, and it wasn't a bad stick. Not something I would run out and buy a box but wasn't a bad stick at all.

I'll try it again when I can rummage up another size, before I publish my review. The one smoked had an almost metallic note to it. I'm glad I posted here before I published that.

As far as trash talking goes, a review is just one person's opinion. It does not make it true or false,it is what it is,just a review. One person says something negative another saya something positive. The only true undefiled way to know for sure is try it yourself. I have never put any weight on reviews or opinions. All that matters to me is what i think, and whether or not i liked it. One mans dog rocket is another mans premium. I have tried the black dragon and found it to be a very profound cigar. It is very full bodied to my taste, and somewhat earthy, but all in all i found it to be very hearty.
Remember, this is just my opinion, according to my taste's.

Respectfully Submitted,
