Bombs, trades, etc

What do they mean to you? For me, I'm excited that someone took the time and care to put together a package, go to the post office, and send them to me. All trades and gifts are special for that reason. When I put one together, I'm almost as excited for them to receive the bomb as I am to send it.

It's also very important to me that I acknowledge the sender and either send a pm or post pics immediately (pics of bombs, pm's for trades). I've sent a few bombs that haven't been acknowledged and that's feels pretty crappy. I don't care about pics showing everyone, but a pm is appreciated. Just a thought for courtesy. I'm sure I'm not the only one who feels that way.

I love them also, both sending and receiving. It's usually not a surprise because I'm too excited to keep it a secret. I post pics of every transaction, bombs, trades, PIF's, it doesn't matter.

I would say most feel the same... maybe the people that didn't acknowledge had a lot going on in their lives. Everyone gets hectic from time to time. I'm sure they apprieciated it. Either way, keep on bombin'... Karma always makes you straight.

I have more fun sending them and like to hear the reaction from the one who gets it. Hey Guado it goes out tomorrow. HEHE

I would hope the receiver would acknowledge they received it, at least.

I like both getting and giving. It's fun to knock someone on their ass, and it's always great to have cigars show up unannounced.

The photos of bombs are what drew me to this site in the first place.
When I found out what they were I fell in love. It's is one thing that
I'll probably continue to do for the rest of my life. I also get a big kick out of it
due to the fact I live in a small town w/ very little access to many brands.
It's cool to open a package and see something like and Illusione or an Opus X.
Opus X, ISOM, and small run cigars have always been a real treat to me that
I really can't express how meaningful it is for me to get my hands on them.

I agree with Nick.

It's great seeing pics of the bombs and to hear the surprise of the bombees (is that a word?)

I'm with Joey on this like many others here. If a generous BOTL takes time to send a Bomb then the least the recipient can do is post a message or P M to that person and let them know how much they appreciate what a kind brother has done. We all get caught up in things time to time but if your online at this site afterwords then post something- my $0.02---

I also agree with Joey 110%! I think I love sending them out more than receiving but I if I do receive one, it is very important that I let everyone on the boards know about it and I try to post a pic ASAP.
It does feel crappy when someone doesnt acknowledged a bomb you sent. I think its just common courtesy to at the very least, PM you and say thanks.
However if just one person doesnt thank me, it wont keep me from bombing away because I know their are tons of people on this site that are very appreciative!

My first 2 bombs went unacknowledged for a long time, but were finally recognized (one on the forum, one in a PM). When I sent them out, I really had good intentions and didn't want the recognition. But when I received no response for a long period of time, I did start to question, WTF? The fun of bombing is seeing the recipient's response. Then on my first trade, I got paired with a member who has just been "banned for life". I sent him the trade cigars, some extras, and a big bonus item. Now that he went wacko, I guess I won't even get my half of the trade. Again, WTF? But my luck will change on my next bombing/trade. I will now only send to certified, verified, 100% completely sane CL members with impecable references. But with the bunch on this board, that may be a little tough .

Hey, stuff happens. I'm just glad you posted what he said about packages he may send out. I might have gotten one from him and not known to throw it out!
