Thanks Criddler. I suspected so - by the description the cigar should be much more expensive.
I finished a 15 count box of Viejo's this summer and it was a strange experience - the more the cigars have rested, the more I liked them. The wrapper was the most fragile I've seen so far, but the flavour was pretty good.

From what I remember the Maxima was better than the Viejo.

I agree with Tha Criddler. Not to beat a dead horse, but this new Rolando Reyes Premier Blend mystery cigar kicks butt...

I really enjoyed the Cienfuegos from Rolando Reyes.
If these are anything like those, this would be an awesome deal.

I might just add that I got a sampler from Cigars International that had some Cuba Aliados churchills in it. There was something wrong with them...they didn't taste the same as the others I had bought from other sources. I am starting to think that Cigars International is pulling a fast one. I wonder what the REAL story was on these? Could these have been some sub-standard sticks they got from the factory? I am generally a pretty trusting soul...hope it was just bad luck.

It is not easy to find that deal on CI web site, but by using the code from the last catalog (got it today) here
Supposedly, these have 4 years of box aging on them.

Re: Puros Indios Reserva Maxima 2003

I just won a box of robusto Reserva Maxima 2003 for $28 on cbid... figure you can't really go wrong at that price. It seems that the boxes are going cheap right now because there are limited reviews on this cigar.

I had a regular Puros Indios once and I was impressed.

Picked up a 5-er of the Viejo, and was once again impressed.

I will have to post back once I get my shipment and smoke one.

Re: Puros Indios Reserva Maxima 2003

I like the reserva maxima. I have 2 boxes of them. One i have had for over 2yrs. they do get better with age. That seems to be the trick with them. I got mine around the same price you did. Even if it turns out to be a yard gar it is still a fair price

Re: Puros Indios Reserva Maxima 2003

LOL The Reserva Maxima 2003 added two new flavors to my pallet

Dry hay, and Cow Poop.

I have a box here that I got, it was the worst cigar I have ever had. Took them to the bar with me and could not give them away. Ill never order another box of them.

I read some where that they taste better after a couple of months in the humi. Another month and ill try them again, who knows maybe that dog turd can turn into a good cigar.

Re: Puros Indios Reserva Maxima 2003

Interesting,,,Ive learned with patience just about any RR cigar gets better with age. 6 months to a year makes a big difference after being in your regulated humidor. I just got a bundle of some RR cigars last week and the taste is there but being fresh off the boat it just doesn't smoke as well with at least a few months on them. Puros Indios is a good cigar,,,give it some time and try it again in about 3 months.
