Cigars are my substitute girlfriend

I focus so much time, energy, and money on cigars, I think it takes the place of having a significant other.

Thing is, I never have an argument with my cigars.

Thing is, well, cigars can't do certain things for me that a woman could do. Go figure.

My motorcycle was my significant other at one time. I loved to pamper it: wash it, wax it, change the oil. Of course it was always fun to take it for a good hard ride. :-)

Andy, I'm 56 and don't require many of the "companion activities" from my wife of 34 years as I used to. Cigars, for me, have stepped up to the plate and substituted in many ways for my wife. I love her and would not trade the world for her and look forward to retirement time with her. But, if you are a young buck, don't let cigars get in the way of what might become the greatest experience in your life. Sorry if I sound patronizing, I don't mean it that way. It's just that I have friends who have let great relationships slip away because of golf, softball and other crazy shizit, and now live by themselves and say, "boy Barb is a great wife, I wish I could meet someone like her".
