I've smoked a few Ghurka cigars. I personally think they are priced a little high in B&M's but I've gotten some good deals on them @ CBid. Recent purchase was Ghurka "Nepalese Warrior". They aren't bad smokes, will probably get better with a little age and only ran me about $3.50 a stick.

Only Ghurka's I've had is a five pack of the black puro's and they were pretty darn good. Good news is CBid has a twelve right now as the special for 43.00. Bad news is it ends in about 1 hour and 10 min.

I have smoked the Gurkha shaggy...great cigar...I have also enjoyed the Gurkha Crest and the Gurkha Beast.....My favourite Gurkha to date is the Titan...excellent smoke...but an expensive one.

Cigars International has a couple reasonably priced Gurkha sampler packs......

Ditto on the shaggy. I enjoyed it, too. Lighting that tuck is fun.

I also like the Gurkha G3 and the Grand Age.

Have a great holiday everyone,
Don

I am smoking a K. Hansotia Signature Collection Blend 101. These are very tasty!

So I'm going to echo everyone here and vouch for the shaggy. When I have the money for boxes I'm going to invest in these.

Hello from Tampa,
I, too, was curious about Gurkhas being a newbie and frightened of getting stung by a full-bodied, Turkish cigar, but saw some on-line at Cigars International. They are having a sale on their samplers for an incredibly good price. They were advertised as medium, so I bought 1 sampler. Tried it and now I have purchased about 5 or 6 samplers, plus other Gurkha specials they have been having this month. It is worth checking out and the cigar is the Nepalese Warrior and it is outstanding for me...
Best

Wow - that is a lot of $$$. I always look for them on CI & CBid and have been able to pick up the occasional 10/$60 - much more in my price range. The Titan is a great smoke.
The hardest one to find is the original Beauty (in glass tube) - never seem to see those for less than $15 each

twenty two is too damn out of my reach unless its a padron, and in that case i can buy one a year. my cigar budgeting is off right now due to a cigarbid purchase. they had to put the gold xikar on there at the same time as the lot 23s and tatuajes. i will just have to bite the bullet and pay my bill. i gotta get off that site though, soon...

I hear there's a 12-step program for that! I had to go cold turkey - couldn't afford the divorce.

Continuing our Gurkha theme, tonight I am smoking the Gurkha/K. Hansotia Triple Ligero. You can get these branded as Gurkha or K. Hansotia. I think the K. Hansotia ones are a bit older (and is what I have). This cigar does remind me of the Oliva V in flavor even though the wrapper on this cigar is much darker. It definitely features a very similar flavor. This particular stick is probably about a year old...and it is having some wrapper split issues. Aside from the wrapper wanting to crack, it is smoking real well. If you like the V, you will probably like this stick.

I saw that the Signature Blend 101 sticks I mentioned yesterday go for as little as $3.33/stick on Cigars International. I think that is a great deal, especially if you give them a nice nap before you smoke them.
