Sounds like you need to drink more, lol. My stash sucks, I guess I should start buying some good liquor. I just have a couple of vodkas and whiskeys. I mostly drink beer.
I do need to find some Havana Club though. I had a bottle in my hands at a liquor store last time I was in Jordan, but I didn't know how to get it home. |

My 'stash' is not nearly as impressive....but it's more for entertaining than anything else...
I'm also depleted in several places and haven't had an opportunity to hit the local Specs... ![]()

No, its a Scotch Whisky. However, there are a very large number of scotches that are not licensed for sale in the U.S, or for that matter outside of the UK. They come in 700ml bottles instead of 750 (which is the law here) and they are marked for UK sale only.
For example Glenfiddich makes a US import version of the Gran Reserva 21 yo that is finished in rum casks from the carribean, its in a 750ml bottle made for sale only in the US. The true Gran Reserva is finished in cuban rum casks, making it an ISOM in the eyes of the US government and its bottled in 700ml. Its probably one of the best tasting drams out there for the casual whisky drinker who is still working their way up to some of the more impressive and complex drams. |

Well, at first I thought it was going to be a very hyped spirit, and it is. Dont get me wrong, its still a Canadian Whiskey which doesn't carry the air of being Scotch.
But, if you take the label off and serve it to people they will say that it is a very fine tasting spirit. Its smooth as anything out there from anyone, including the most famous scotches. But, its still Canadian Whiskey. I got my bottle for about 15% less than anywhere in the country, which is why I bought it. Its in the same league as buying Pappy Van Winkle 23. 150 bucks for a bottle of bourbon or canadian whiskey is exceedingly expensive. But then scotches are overpriced too, if you ask me. |
