Padron Anni. serial numbers

Are the serial numbers on Padron Anniversaries related to their production time? Does anyone have a rough guide to what time corresponds to what range of numbers?

I ask because my first Anni, a Principe, was numbered 454204 and the Superior I recently picked up is numbered 035533. I have no reason to believe that it is not older than the principe was, but I would like to know just how old it is.

Thanks for any help you can pass on.

I don't know if the Numbers are created with a time line... all I know is that the numbers were created to stop possible counterfieting... sorry, but I can't help ya.

I can't say I've paid much attention, but that's a great question! I'll bet you could email Padron...info@padron.com

after padron did it aurora padilla and several other companies started putting serial numbers on the sticks to be honest i think its silly and i doubt theres any real purpose that could be used to identify when they were made.

Yeah, it seems more like a gimmick than anything else. Counterfeiters could put any numbers on, and as long as they're there, odds are no one's really going to actually check the numbers.

Yeah, I figured in terms of counterfeit protection the numbers are pretty pointless, but if you're putting serial numbers on at all, why not make them chronological. The band the numbers are printed on are pretty secure, too. Pretty neat stuff.

I emailed Padron and will post back what they reply.

Anyone ever notice if the numbers are sequential within the same box? Being po, I've never bought more than one. LOL

Not quite sequential, but they have a pattern. I'm looking at a box of Imperials with the following numbers:

038215
038255
038135
038195
038245
038235

And a box of Piramides:
140907
140817
140997
140787
140947

Yeah... same here. I have a box of '64 Anniversary that all end in "4" and a box of '26 No.2 that start off ending in "2" then jump to "3" on the last few (at least on the top row... I didn't check the bottom.)

Thanks for making me dig these out. I had gotten the Anniversary about a year ago and had forgotten they were there.
