C.A.O. L'Anniversaire Question
Iv'e tried the Robusto (the regular, not the maduro or eXtreme) and really - really like the first half. For those who have experience with this cigar, is the Belicoso the exact same blend but longer? Basically I'm looking for a longer version of the Robusto so I can have a longer "great" first half. Thanks in advance.

Re: C.A.O. L'Anniversaire Question
I have a fiver of these but have not smoked em yet. I have smoked other brands though, both robusto and either Toro or Belicoso and the blends and filler are the same. You will however get a slightly taste due to size, buit the differences are not major, unless you're talking about a cigarillo compared to a much larger size and ring guage.

Re: C.A.O. L'Anniversaire Question
I like and smoke the Toros (5.5x55). I have had the smaller robustos and thought the flavors were still a bit green and not as smooth. They do seem to be the same leaf, but the taste was just a bit different
They really benefit from some down time in a humi. My first was bought from a B&M and had settled down. It was a great smoke so I purchased a fiver here and there but never really got that "oh wow" I found one at the bottom of my humi that was left over from the good but not Oh wow fiver. It had been there for at least 10 months. That "oh wow" was definitely there. ![]()

Re: C.A.O. L'Anniversaire Question
This was the very first premium cigar that I smoked, and I still remember it. It's what started me on the long, slippery slope. We were on expense accounts and after many libations in the hotel bar we found they had cigars - didn't know they were 17 bucks each but we smoked two each anyway.

Re: C.A.O. L'Anniversaire Question
17 bucks US! Thats a bit much. Anything you buy in hotels or restaurant are just too expensive. But then, if I buy CAO from my local B&M, they cost 34 Canadian (26 US). I could buy a Montecristo 2 and still have change. I know tobacco products are luxury, but sometimes government taxes and establishments take too much advantage.
