I now know the definition of the "Devil Site"

So, I was introduced to the "Devil site" by JohnRider. He was kind enough to give me the details of the site and how to go about the shopping, bidding, shipping.

Anyway, this is the first week I have been bidding and I did some serious damage. I am going to have to really watch myself or I will have a lot of rubber checks bouncing back from the bank.

Thanks JohnRider (I Think)

I dont know what it is with that site... it inherently brings out that urge in every man of winning something for a great price, while constantly in search for the never ending best deal.. its like going to vegas for cigars... start the bidding..

I just got back from Vegas. I never saw such ridiculous prices in my life! One place wanted $22 for a Montecristo White Robusto! Luckily I brought plenty of my own. Vegas is still a place where you can smoke in public. Now I am back home in the People's Republic of Seattle and smoking is a completely private pursuit.

But the CES show was a gas! More gadgets per square foot than anywhere else on Earth. Panasonic had a 150 inch television, just the thing for my bathroom!

Fear the devil site! I thought I was getting great prices. Then the finance charges hit my CC for three months straight and I actually lost in the long run. See you next Thursday!

The devil site.....some rational/irrational comments! First, they have got a good thing going for them, Cigars International, and iit s just like nicotine, dope, sex (oops!), it "hooks you" GOOOOOOOD! I am down almost $8 to 10K in the last month or two and have had to go to my $$$$ stash bigtime to stay afloat with the rest of my life, but, I do have some nice "sticks" for a reasonable price, or better than reasonable price. Part of the problem with this for me, and I suspect for most others, it is the "competitive" nature of our bestial side that wants to "win". We figure that another $3 bucks on a bid isnt too much, especially if it is way under the price that you would normally pay...but, what we fail to realize, we do this more than once, twice, three and on and on and on (that's me" ......and, before long we have won 15 different boxes of potentially great tasting smokes. Along with those wins comes the $$$ factor and we sometimes forget about that when we press that little "submit" button. And, dont forget about the "rationalization factor" when we are bidding.....we somehow go through some mental gymnastics with ourselves as to "why" we should do this and "why" we need that "quickie" box of delicious smokes. Maybe we need some sort of "guidelines" for all of us to latch onto before we start spending our precious $$$$ beyond our means....nahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!
For everyone, I wish huge $$$$ bank accounts so you can visit and have fun with the "devil site". And, for the rest of us, I wish us restraint, a 12 step program, and a solid mentor to help us along when we are in that "vulnerable state" to go into competition. For me, I am hooked 24/7 - 365.....have been retired for almost 10 years, or so, and am looking for work!
Would love to hear more about this from others...!
Best....
