they're not couterfeit. dying maduro wrappers is a common occurance. maduro wrapper that is even is almost impossible to get and when you do get it its expensive. hell, there are alot more dyed wrappers than you think, to get a more uniform color.

By now I've rolled enough cigars to answer this...
Maduro wrappers do stain your fingers, they stain them when they get wet or hot and oily. Rolling maduros is one of the dirtiest (handwise) to make. Now that does not mean that some companies out there don't dye or put oily substances on their cigars..Unfortunately some do... I think your case was a natural color that can come off the leaf. I wouldn't concern yourself about it. |
