I just bought an Oasis Ultra for my cX2 humi, and like it enough that I"m gonna buy another one for my 100 count humi as well...

It comes will wall power and a battery pack (with batteries included) and can be found for under $90 locally, and under $80 on the web.

It's small, doesn't displace any cigars and can be hung upside down on the lid...

Thus far it's working beautifully...no complaints.

Matt I had an oasis in my big humi (300 to 500 count) and got rid of it for heartfelt beads and have not looked back since. My advice is go for the beads.

I have a La Veil and a Hydra with 3 extra fans. I bought them both early summer and haven't had a problem with either. I like the Hydra for my large chest humi and would buy another. From what I understand, the extra fans are cheaper than adding fans to the Oasis. The chest humi is rock solid at 68% on the top shelf and 69% on the bottom. All the "special" cigars go in that one.

I just bought the hydra and set it up in my new ice chest humi. The hydra is nice but the calibration is WAY OFF. I'm working out the kinks as we speak. I like the setup but the external fans are supposed to wire up with a special "ribbon Cable" setup. I had some old computer fans laying around and used them. I made an adapter to wire the external fans (which run when the hydra runs) and set one facing up and one down on the upper part underside. If you look at the gallery you can see this setup.

I am planning on using beads too, as a backup and humidity stabilizer. Beads are great and David is a top notch guy.

If you've got a spare closet, (for future expansion), check out the Bemis Humidifier website. they ship the next day, and the humidifiers can cover 1700 square feet. and they are only a hundred bucks or so. hope that helps.

i placed an order for a half pound of 65% heartfelt beads and a net bag. i was thinking of using a tupperware container withe some nicely placed holes in the top. the only question i have is for the circulation factor. even though the la veil was crap in the long run, it did offer a fan for circulation. i am pissed about it breaking. especially because the unit was less than one year old. boo to that. i better not lose any of my collection due to this crap. if i do, i am sending the casualties to la veil corps for refunds. vice is pissed...
