It's an Oasis XL plus.

I'm wondering if they are expecting you to buy a whole Water Cartridge every time you need to replace the foam.

I have the same rig and I was wondering the same. I guess buying the whole thing is the thing to do?

Was the foam in your Oasis Old/worn out or something? Did you have humidity issues?

Why not just get a new complete bottom for $12.00 - seems alot easier than fooling with it for an hour.

The foam is real soft. I used small flathead screwdriver and just wobbeled it back and forth breaking it up and flushing it with water. It only took 10 minutes ir so. Anything that fits in the hole will work. I replaced the green foam in everything with the poly gel crystals. I can send you some if you want. Good luck. T

It is starting to get mold on the top of the foam. And I didn't want the mold to spread to the cigars.

Thanks for the offer, but I have some beads on order and can try those in there when they arrive.

It's just that I already got some extra foam from oasis for 10 bucks.

The plan was to run the oasis with foam, and also use beads. The oasis has the fan, and the beads can absorb humidity. Sounded like a good combo.

I just didn't think replacing the foam was going to be an issue. But it is. At least with this model oasis.

Thinking of using JohnRider's idea and just cutting it open. If I ruin the cartridge, then I can replace it.

Paesano is right. Try using a small wire to break up the foam as you run water through it. It will break up fairly easily. Refill cartridge will beads or crosslinked polymer gel. Works good, last long time.

Thanks for the repiles!

My beads showed up yesterday. So I ended up demolishing the foam with a butter knife and filling the reservoir 3/4 full with beads.
