AF Anejos

I'm currently chilling at my parent's place in Rehoboth Beach, DE. I went to the local B&M and was surprised as the amount of Anejo boxes they had in stock:

2 boxes Anejo #46 for $250 each
2 boxes Anejo #50 for $275 each
2 boxes Anejo #77 for $300 each

Now, this is definitely above retail, but considering I paid $15 for one #46 in Northern Virginia, this seems like a great deal.

What is up with the #77 being $300 when there's only 20 sticks instead of 25 in each box? Is it made out of gold or something? I may grab a couple just because nowhere else sells them this cheap, or have any in stock at all.

I just realized that I live really close to you. Who do you use as your local B&M?

Kory,

I live in Burke, VA, BUT I'm currently in Delaware for the weekend. There are really no cheap B&M in Northern VA, LOL!

I'd talk to the guy and see if he'll give you a break on the box price. If he does...buy 'em all!! :teacher:

Check them for mold before you buy.

I would pic up the 2 boxes of the #50 if I were you. Check and see if he would give you a 10-15%discount on the boxes. You might be surprised!

Kory,

I go to Cigar King in Burke, Tobbacco Barn in Falls Church, John B Hayes in Fair Oaks Mall, and this new place in Fairfax Corner. All are pricey though, so I try to limit my purchases from there.

Bought all 6 boxes for a couple of BOTLs. They are all still shrinkwrapped and seal not broken.

Andrew,

I usually go to Old Virginia Tobacco Company (Kingstowne or Pentagon City Mall) or Georgetown Tobacco (Georgetown or Tysons Corner Mall). Both sell at or close to msrp. Every once in awhile I go to JR's or W. Curtis Draper's in the city, but both are kinda pricey. We should get a herf going sometime.

The deal with the 77 is that its a special size. I figure it's harder to roll and less are made. Just supply and demand I suppose.

I also second the advice to check for mold. They like to attract the mold.

Kory,

Georgetown Tobacco is really good. After all the years of living here, I didn't realize it was in Tysons. First time I went was actually November of last year.

Draper's is really good too. You missed out. We had herfs in Baltimore (a week before the smoking ban) and recently at Shelly's. I'll PM you next time we do something again.

Everyone jumped on these boxes. I don't really want to open them myself, when someone bought the entire box. I doubt there will be mold, for it's 30 degrees outside, a not much moisture. Mold likes moisture. I could be wrong though. The only box that was open was the #46, and everything looked perfect.

I stop by the Old Virginia Tobacco Company in Dulles Town Center every time I am there for customer visits. Been doing that for years... Great place to chill for a bit, and the prices are decent.

So you bought all the boxes for someone else? Are you selling on the side some of the sharks?

I'm actually headed to OVTC in Dulles after I post this message. LOL! Getting their last Opus Xs. MUUHAHAHHAHA!

Louis, I did buy all 6 boxes. BUT for like 10 different BOTLS. LOL. I have a box of #46s already so I didn't need anymore (or didn't have to have 1400 bucks tied up to cigars), so the people that PMed got them.

All the sticks were called for 10 minutes after I posted it at 130am LOL! Talk about crazy cigar insomniacs.
