Thumbs up Casa Fuente

I was in Vegas this weekend and stopped in at Casa Fuente.
I do love Vegas.
Prices were not as bad as I thought they would be. This is Vegas after all.
I got a

God of Fire Double Robusto for $35
Really nice, they told me it got real strong right at the end. And they were right. Smoked one saved one

Opus X forbidden, Forget price and size. I will guess and say 6 x 50 and $60. Yet to smoke this one

Fuente Anejo (No 46?) about $18 Yet to smoke this one

And there House Casa Fuente Belicoso $23, Nice but not as good as the rest.

The girls were pretty dam hot too, I totaly reconmend a visit the next time you are in Vegas. Or hell go for just that reason.

Later on in the night, ok early the next morning I was in a bar and made the dumb move of getting a $8 H.Upmann.
Some how it was just not the same.

Now all Vegas needs is a Casa Habanos

*edit. I found my recipt so correctd the prices

Re: Casa Fuente

The Casa Fuente House brand is a great little cigar.

You will definately enjoy them. My favorite size is the Robusto. Glad you had a good time.

Did you happen to see what the box prices were like? Particularly the higher end ones (Opus, Anejo, Casa Fuente)

Re: Casa Fuente

Sounds like a fun trip. I miss Vegas, now that I am about 8000 miles away. I read it has changed a lot since I waas there last time in 2000. Still a cigar man's town I hope?

I was having thoughts of moving there too,,looking for the year around warmth and the poker.......Did a search on Vegas realestate and found it to be very expensive,,a similiar house to the one we live in here would be in the neighborhood of 6-7 hundred K..
Guess I'm staying (at least for now) in Minn..

Jerry in Minnesota.

Jerry - For some strange reason my lovely wife does not share my appreciation of Vegas. Cigars, gambling, pretty hostesses - I just don't understand what there is not to like... Larry

I am going at the end of this month if you want to PM I will check specs for you.

I love Vegas, but it is changing everyday, I doubt you will find it similar to what it was in 2000. I was there in November 05 and it had changed since my previous visit in February. It is an amazing town for all types of adult fun, cigar smoking included and the lastest trend of steering away from the family environment of the late 90's is making it even better for adult visitors.

Re: Casa Fuente

i was there at casa fuente back last august and it's definitely a spot to check out if you're in vegas. the ladies are hot and they have a bar and cigars. i did however think the prices on their house brand fuente cigars were way over priced. JMHO.

Amazingly, perhaps, Casa Fuente offers the cheapest Opus X cigars on the Vegas Strip, and they do so in the most expensive retail space on the planet. Check out the prices for Opus in the Davidoff shops for comparison (or horrors, the airport).

Casa Fuente store info. Also of note:

To further emphasize the Fuentes' position on the store's purpose, the Fuente family opted not to be financial partners in the venture. The store is a straightforward licensing deal, structured as a partnership between the Freys and Levin, who pay an annual royalty fee directly to The Cigar Family Charitable Foundation.

The Fuentes gain nothing more out of this venture than donations towards their philanthropic pursuits, a tribute to their family's heritage, and a presence to increase brand awareness - which they are confident will directly translate into sales for all Fuente retailers.

Good luck Scott. Maybe you'll win enough $$ to buy some smokes at Casa Fuente.

Re: Casa Fuente

Got back from Vegas... Unfortunately, time did not allow me the time to sit and have a smoke and a drink while being served by those FINE wimmens! I did get in there for a little bit to check out the humi of thiers, along with the stuff they had on display. It is a BIT intimidating.. especially to a guy like me, who is all of 5'7" tall and 135lbs soaking wet, when there are two big guys in black suits smoking cigars checking ID's at the door.. but once I got to talking with them, some of the fear went away, and I think they were pretty cool. A HOT girl accompanied me into the humi, and I didn't stay long as we had somewhere we had to go, but I was determined to at LEAST buy a couple casa fuente house cigars while I was in there... got what I think were the corona's.. Cheapest of the bunch out of the Casa house brand at $18 each. There's a reason I only bought two. That being said, I did notice the GOF was $35 each... Almost bought one, but I didn't win enough $$ to justify that price I am glad Im only 3 hours away.. Im already convincing the wife that we need to go back, this time alone (We were with her parents, and her mom is very condesending on my cigar hobby alot of the time, while her dad just thinks its cool, but won't get into it himself, no matter how much I push him). I told my wife, next time we are there, Im gonna spend a couple hours with one of thier copies of CA, a smoke and a jack and coke...

All in all, its a great store, with hot chicks.

BTW, I also stopped at the davidoff store... but didn't even bother to venture into thier humi.
