You are absolutely right Heather. I'm lucky enough to have a cigar shop 5 minutes away from work. When I'm having an especially stressful day, I head over there for an hour of stress relief over lunch.

Yeah, you have to be careful, Heather, cuz celebrity movie stars seem to have a lot of trouble with stress. Just don't pull a Britney on us. We don't want to have to seize your millions and put you in a padded room.

I had a nice routine last summer...I got in the habit of keeping a folding chair in my car and sneaking off to the park for an hour at lunch time for a smoke. It was a great way to kick back and forget about work for a while.

Unfortunately, the laws are probably going to make that ILLEGAL here real soon. Crazy.

Hey Russ, that wouldn't happen to be SG Roi in the Old Market, would it?

Those ITC-10's have been a great stress-reducer lately for me as well. Hope your meeting went well after you put all that effort into getting yourself centered.

Nope -- Ted's Tobacco at 144th and Pacific. Unfortunately SG Roi doesn't have much smoking space -- only a couple of chairs.

My job can get quite stressful as I have to deal with scum bags and criminals everyday. Cigars for me are a great way to alleviate stress and enjoy the fruit of life.

Ted -

Good to hear from a brother of the badge! I was just in Canada and spoke to a LEO in Toronto; nice guy. I noticed that the department budget must be a bit low because his patrol car and equipment was in poor condition...

I arrested a guy once who tried to bribe me with a box of cubans!!!

Thank God for cigars!
You got that point dead on Heather!

My cigar is my unwinding ritual. It has a familiarness that is soothing. I dont do much just have a drink throw one some music and put things into perspective. On another note though when a few of us cigar guys get together the social setting is very good at reducing stress and gain an appreciation for good smokes and good company.

No doubt. Go to the B/M for lunch to smoke and relax. If the day really is sucking I go out about 1530 with the laptop and wrap up the day with another one.
