I got this Pepin made Rey Miguel from Black Cat from silentjon a few weeks ago and tried it tonight. I don't know if this is indicative of all of them, but the first good inch and half was like I had a jalapeno in my mouth! Wow! I mean, not that like it tasted green peppery, but it was hottttttt spicy. The flavor was all wonderful Pepin goodness, but I kept on exclaiming "wow" "hot" "yike" for a while. After that it settled into creamy, bold, wonderfulness all the way to the finger burning nub. Sorry, my newbie palate doesn't have the means to distinguish all the flavor vocabulary you vets describe so eloquently but I really enjoyed it. If the spice would have continued at the initial intensity through the whole thing I probably wouldn't have lasted through it, but by the end I was raving about it. Whadda smoke!

After this afternoons Don Tomas Cammi Perfecto #1 I had to try the 7" #4 and the #1 was way superior much more flavor in the shorty.
Since I was unsatisfied I had to have a LG Oriental to quench my pallete...

I still have palete envy and I'm 20+ years and I can only taste about 8-10 or so but mostly around 5-6 unless they're really pronounced ...
