They certainly look appealing, but Google isn't turning up much in the way of reviews.

I saw those as well! Was wondering the same thing as I was having my Fuente Short Story yesterday after Lunch........ that cost $6.90 at a local B&M.

Ya gotta love that 100% Montana Tobbaco tax!!!

FN that is the same amount I pay for a Short Story in small town Colorado.

I'm trying to decide if I should spend this month's cigar allowance on these or a bundle of Tampa Sweethearts. If I buy the perfectos, I'll let you know on the quality.

Ive had there alternates to padron and continue to enjoy them, a very tasty cigar!
However, the 5er of the short perfectos I got 8 months ago were not that good. I've smoked part of 4 of them, and the other is still in my humi taking up space.
I wouldn't recommend these without trying a 5er first.

Thanks DKT, you just helped me make up my mind....sort of......

The perfectos are out this month, but after looking at the CigarFO thread, I'm going to have to consider them. So many cigars, so little money.

I have heard very good things from trustworthy BOTL's about the Tampa Sweethearts although I haven't tried them myself

How would you characterize them - mild, medium, full?

I know that this is subjective, but I'm looking for something that is mild to medium. I haven't developed a taste for full bodied cigars yet.

I rec'd my bundle on Saturday. I would say they are definitely medium. Got a quick buzz at first, but I think that is because I was drawing too hard, too soon to get past that nipple thing on the end. Once it starts burning, it was excellent cigar for the price. Burnt evenly for 30 minutes with nice aroma. Burnt my fingers because I couldn't put it down. Go for it.

To add ANOTHER wrinkle to the Perfecto quest...

Several years ago.. or maybe three? I had a DON KIKI perfecto a 4" or shorter guy maybe 50 rg or less. It was pretty darned good.

Then again...... back then my TASTE was a bit different than today.

I have found them at Cuban Crafters. I think they are the same cigar, brown label botellos. Anyone tried any lately?

Anyone interested in sending me a few to try??
