Ashton ESG

Stopped in the B/M and took a couple DC Maximus Double Coronas. Manager and I smoked em up and then he laid a Ashton ESG in front, tells me to take it home and try it. Not too familiar with Ashtons, but fired it up today. Damn! That is awesome. In my opinion right up their with the Opus X, DC Maximus. Went online to check out what I was smoking and realized why:errrr: Anyways, pretty pricy if I was going to get another but man was it good and just might if in a moment of weakness. Definate should try if you have the opportunity!

Chris the Esg is a good smoke But not for the price-try any of the Vsg line for a similiar experience at a discount

IMHO, the ESG I had was garbage. I LOVE VSG's but the ESG had way too much of a floral taste to it. I put mine down after a little more than half. I couldn't stand it anymore.

I have to agree with the previous posters. I thought it was poo poo too. Ashton makes good cigars like the VSG, but the ESG is not one of them. Kudos to the guy that gifted you that overpriced stick.

The ESG is a great stick you just need to age them for a while.

Wow, maybe I was just lucky with the one I got. I have had poo poo sticks, just didn't get it from this. Glad I didn't pay 20+ and not like it. Will try the VSG for the price and check it out. Thanks.

I had a similar experience when I got my box early last summer. Juts had one about a week ago and it was not the same. They do need some rest!

Maybe that was the problem.. I got it from a fellow BOTL, and had no idea how long it had been sitting.. and I only let it sit about 2 weeks before I lit it up.
Bad burn and horrible taste.

One of the best smokes out there....have 4 more cooling their little tender leaves in my humi waiting for the right time to pull the trigger on them. Never tried the Vsg's, but, if they are as good as these beauties, buy all you can get....!
