That's probably what happened.

I think that is how they catch the child **** pervs. Credit card charges from companies known to deal with such filth.

I wouldn't frame the letter - but I would take a picture of myself smoking a ISOM (label showing) while holding the letter, and frame that.

Actually, I would take it a bit more serious than simply hanging it on the wall. I had purchased some circuit boards for a computer rebuild from a company in Canada that sold similar boards used to pull-in satellite TV for free. I recieved a letter along the lines of Vince's telling me I was to recieve a $10K fine for purchasing the illegal TV boards if I didn't respond within a certain timeframe. I called them to expalin the situation. They insisted I settle for $7,500, or they were taking me to court - which would have cost a fortune to fight and they knew it. I then consulted an attorney. It took a couple of letters from my attorney to straighten it out before they went away. It sucks, and those guys can be persistant and a PIA, but they have the stick and will beat you with it! At the very least, I would suggest consulting a local attorney for some direction before ignoring it entirely. Just my two cents!

My situation was three and a half years old too. Turned out to be as someone noted earlier. It took the Feds more than three years to win the court's approval to seize their customer records and lists. They used the credit card charge info to track me down. Bottom line is it sucks, and it's probably going to cost some attorney time to fix it!

I'd be interested to see if You get FLAGGED next time You travel by commercial Air.

Two+ years ago I did some Official business for my Agency and travelled armed. Did the FAA Class , submitted the paperwork when we travelled, etc.

Now whenever I travel by air .......a Security Officer will seek me out and ask me ;"Are You on Official business today Sir"??

I was added to the database, and now despite being retired.... I'm still there.

I have a good source that tells me that cigarsofhabanos out of Hong Kong in particular has been under the eye for a while so if any of you ordered from them or continue to be prepared to possibly hear from the fun police.

I sent an e mail to the retailer in HK , he assured me he has never given up an invoice to anyone including the CC company that collects for him, dammmm that was in 2005, & the humidor in question is long gone , donated as a door prise long ago ! , my wife is thinking I will be in levenworth before the end of the year ! , some times when she starts her TIME I want to be in levenworth !
