Right here! I play both guitar and bass (mainly stick to bass). I have an early 70's Gibson SG, and a 30W Line 6 Spider III amp. As for bass stuff, I have a 2006 Fender American Jazz Bass, red with black pickguard, maple fretboard. As for a bass amp, I have a 300W Peavey Mark IV head with a Peavey cab (1 x 18" and 2 x 10").

I've been known to pluck a few strings back in the day. I played in a Reggae Band called "The Struggle" around the Los Angeles area back in the 80's.

Fender P-Bass
Fender Jazz Bass

I won't bore you all the stuff I've accumulated but I've got a handfull of Strats, a Tele, J Bass, Acoustic, Les Paul copy, a few amps and a bunch floor toys. More info on my "Crack-Space".

I find being a musician is just as expensive as smoking cigars.

Dude, I don't spend as much on Cigars as I spent on strings for all the crap I got layin' around. :support:

Patefengreen and I have a few guitars (my fav is our Carvin acoustic), and we know some chords. But I wouldn't say we're guitar players. More like guitar strummers.

Buy in bulk

Strings, not cigars. Strings cost me around $4.50 a pack but last me a while.

Ebay. You really have to luck out to get great deal on Ebay anymore.

If you're into the "Flavor Of The Month" gear that cost a crap load of cash, hang out many of the guitar forums, wait a month and you'll get it cheap(er). I rarely buy used stuff anymore and certainly not from Ebay. I buy new, sell it off sometimes for a profit, mostly a loss.

A buddy told me he recently Pawned his Marshall 100 Watt Plexi...I hate to say it but if it came time I'd snag it for sure. I used to work at a Pawn shop, many a pay check was spent.

Ahh yes the stringed machine...
I'm more of a pianist and drummer but, I wouldn't trade my Strat or Martin for anything.

I used to play, had a Gibson epiphone, hollow bodied Yamaha, and a 6 /12 string Peavy double neck. For amp-age I had a Peavy tube half stack and a Marshal practice amp. All sorts of cool toys too, Wa-Wa, e-bow, couple cool effects pedals. JUST strung my Yamaha up with 24K gold strings. THAT sounded pretty cool.

I lost it all in a fire when I was in my 20's and my apartment burned to the ground with all my belongings. I never really got back in to it after that, Tosing all my stuff in the dumpster was really disheartening. I got a 6 string Siegel acoustic now, but not nearly in to it like I was.
