Laws concerning bringing Honduran cigars to the U.S.A
I have a friend from Honduras who's mother is coming to visit him soon.
We were wondering what the laws are reguarding her bringing sticks with her ? And I do have to say thanx to this forum. I joined about a week ago, and I have already learned how to fix my humidor problems (I threw away that flower foam and ordered a "Puck") and saved some serious money (about 70% under MSRP) winning lots on cbid.

Hey JW,
Welcome! I like your member name, but did you spell it right? No biggie though, just love the stuff.. Anyways, I don't know of any Customs issues unless they are bringing in major quantities (kilos)... Of course, price (dollar amount) on how much they bring.. I'm just trying to recall off the paperwork Customs has you submit when travelling internationally.. Of course, I could be wrong.. I just hope it works out for you.. Good thing you did change your RH stuff. Beads are the way to go.. Just get a digital hygro and things will be right on..

You should be OK as long as they are not ISOM's.

I think the only problem would be once you hit a certian value there could be some taxes.

honduras has an $800 personal duty free exemption with which allows no more than 200 cigarettes or 100 cigars (of non-cuban origin) to be imported with you to the US. (according the the us customs and border partol informational handbook)

It would be torture for her; although she loves cigars as well (milder ones of course) she says my scotch smells like "plastic & shoes"......?
she rather I drink cognac, but it does not always pair with the stick.
