I've killed aloe plants and cacti, something tells me tobacco growing wouldn't be a good project for me.

I have a friend that runs a large nursery. I gave him my habanero seeds weeks ago to germinate for me.

no tobacco for me this year. I still have some seeds I got from Misc on ASC. I'm growing Wormwood, Horseradish, Morning glory, and spearmint this year...I have plans to plant tobacco and garlic next year

Mine all germinated quickly and doing well, although not growing as fast as I'd like! I've thinned them twice even though I thought I was careful to only plant 3-4 seeds in each starter pot. They also look very healthy. I transplanted 3 of each variety into 3" pots this weekend, and left 12 of each varitety in the starter trays in case the transplanting was too tough on those little suckers, however all still look great this morning. If all holds up, I'll transplant more into 3" pots next weekend.

I also started some Roma tomato plants at the same time. Funny thing, the tobacco trays all have a little bit of whitish mold in a few days but the tomatoes did not - all in the same starter tray, same soil and under the same plastic cover. Is this usual with tobacco plants? Anything to worry about? I'll try to get some pics one of these days soon to post.

just be careful...try keeping the tomato plants away from the tobacco plants as they share diseases, both being members of the nightshade family. Thats why its a wise idea not to throw old cigar butts near tomato plants as well

as budda just stated keep the tomato plants away from the tobacco plants!!! and make sure you wash you hands before touching the tomato plants if you have touched the tobacco. things will spread and you will lose your whole crop if you don't. my garden will be finished this next weekend and all the veggies, tobacco, and all of my other tropical and exotics will be planted and hopefully living life enjoying the sun!!

My wife said that sounded like a bachelor thing to do when I mentioned the seeds back when this first came up. Nuff said! I will have to live vicariously through your pictures.
