I was afraid to light up a Gurkha when I first heard about them from a friend who had a bad experience! But, kept reading the ads on CigarBid and ordered a Gurkha Grand Envoy. Since then, have never turned back and own most of the line. Cigarbid is probably the place to go because most are not carried in B&M's, i.e. Grand Envoy, Ancient Legend, Nepalese Warrior, etc. They are specifically made, so I am told, for Cigar International. For me, doesnt matter! Great cigar, some great deals from time to time, and lots of enjoyable moments smoking them. So, stretch your wings, check out the site....be sure to include the vintage Shaggy and the Triple Ligero!
Best,
Ylo2na

Gurkha G5s are great. I've had alot of lucking changing people's views on Gurkha by making them smoke a Nepalese Warrior though.

Never tried the G3, the G5 has a good draw its a medeum to full bodied cigar. In the review in CA it says the cigar has coffee bean flavor with some earth and nuts. It taste great, not sure I would call it coffee bean flavor more of a nutty flavor.

CigarLive's own Brent did this review for Fumee of the G3. Hope it helps with some comparison to the G5.

"The G3 is an interesting cigar that departs from the normal Gurkha cigars that I have smoked. This cigar really is in a class of its own when it comes to flavors. The flavor profile is interesting and will make you think about what you are smoking. It took me a couple of hours after finishing the cigar to figure out that the main flavor coming from this smoke was a black licorice flavor that really was interesting. I am not a big fan of licorice, but this cigar mixed that with some chocolate flavors and some interesting spice. The flavors on this cigar were full, but the body and strength were mild, another interesting difference from other Gurkhas I have smoked. If you are looking for a complex full flavored/mild smoke, this one is for you!.-Fumée featured reviewer Brent"
