RP Decade "95" rating......

Well good weather is finally here and on Monday I got outside with a few sticks and the latest edition of CA which I had been saving for just such a day. I was floored to see that the RP Decade torpedo was rated an astounding 95 (higher than anything I've ever seen outside of Cuba). Now, I am not a total ratings ho. The same issue rated the Perdomo Habano Corojo torpedo over the Oliva Special V. If someone told me I could have one or the other, I'm going for the Oliva though I have a box of the Perdomos I am really enjoying. Still a 95!!!!! That's hard to ignore and it's just about as hard to find any of these outside of a sampler.

So what do you think? Have you tried these smokes? Are they really that good? Where did you find them?

a lot of people are talking about this on other forums.

i honestly didn't like the decade i had. not saying they are all bad, just the one i had wasn't that great.

i'd take a ITC over it.

just my 2 cents.

Not a "ratings ho" either, but saw it in CA..and had to pick it up..
got one yesterday.. local B&M for 10.50 each.. haven't tried it

i think with a little rest in the humi, the Decade is a real good smoke. I know at my local B&M when they had the release event, every one and I mean everyone enjoyed them.

2Guys Smoke Shop by my house has a few boxes of them....

I have one resting in the testerdor along with the ITC version.

I've smoked a couple of them now and as for the 95 I don't know but it is in the 90's for me construction, apearence, and burn are all perfect but it just comes up a little short on complexity

Being a RP Whore, NO it does not deserve a 95. I smoked a padron 26th 80th and that is a 95 in my book.

I'm with Rocky on this. While I thought the decade was a great smoke, I don't think it was worth the 95 rating.

i really liked the decade....but a 95 is a little much....i don;t remember exactly what i put it at, but it was my first major review i've ever done....i went as detailed as a could, check it out if you can

I smoked an RP Decade, it wasn't bad at all, but i didn't think it was worth the 11 i paid for, if the price dropped to say 6-7 then it might be worthy of that 95.
