They are both very good smokes, but also very different. For one the Tats. do not have the spice of the DPG line. I am horrible at picking out flavors and such, but you can trust me when I say ALL tats. are excellent!!!!

Whichever one you try, you'll enjoy the smoke. They're great cigars.
Enjoy your Sunday, Don |

Tatuaje Brown
They are both awesome sticks. I'd say the Pepin Blue has a little more pepper/spice and the Tatuaje Brown is more rich with chocolate notes....

All excellent comments and descriptions here. I LOVE the Tatuaje Brown Label, also known as the Tatuaje Cabinet line. This is the fullest blend in the line. I also enjoy the red band, the Havana VI, but can do without the white band, which is the Series P. It is the lightest in the line. DPG Blue definitely has more spice and pepper. The Tat Cab is richer with more coco and nutty notes IMO. My fav is the Cojonu 2003...a MUST TRY!

I smoke a good deal of the Tatuaje Regios. Agree pretty much with all the above. The Tats are a heavy Cuban style cigar whereas the DPG Blue is a peppery high grade Nicaraguan style. Both excellent.

Personally I like the Tatuate line way better than the Pepin Blue. I don't own any boxes of Pepin blue - but have 6 or 7 boxes of tatuate. I tried the Pepin blue last week and it did not have the depth of flavor or smothness of the Tatuates - especially the Zonals or Conoju 03.

Thanks for the comments fella's, 2 days ago i smoked a dpg blue that had sat for a month, and i was thoroughly surprised at how tasty it was, sure it had that strong pepper kick at the beginning, but after that you are rewarded w/ a sweet leathery spice. And from these comments i snagged up a box of tatuaje brown label regio's at a decent price i think at 8 a stick is fair, they're not cb's overbidding prices.
