Thompson's is not always the beast some portray them as.

Ahhh.. the cello question that we all probably hear too much. Somebody should do a scientific experiment to tell us the true facts about cellophane.

Thompsons must not want to lose my business.

My friendly UPS driver just left.

I just got a complimentary 5 pack of LFD double ligero 600's

I should have checked them before I put them in the humidor, but I was in a hurry to leave.

I sent an email to Litto Gomez, who replied immediately. He notified Thompsons who emailed me to call a customer service rep.

I called her the next day and told her what happened. She asked me if I take the cello off of the cigar before I put it in my humidor. When I told her no she said that's the problem. She said the cello won't allow the humidity to reach the cigar. I wasn't going to argue with her but it was obvious she know's nothing about cigars.

I guess it was a good thing I didn't argue with her. She sent me a $40 gift certificate.

Too Funny.
She did the right thing, took care of a customer. That is what we call Service Without Limits

It's good that she made good with the 40 beans but it's sad that a supposed cigar company doesn't know what they are talking about or train their people to know what they are talking about.

Actually I made out on the deal. Out of the 10 cigars only 2 were split. So I'm three ahead with cigars plus the gift certificate.

It's not as important as they did something to make it right. Which in this business world lately customer service is considered old school.

I say even if she was uninformed, this is an example of Thompsons doing things right. Mark got $40 and 5 cigars for 2 split wrappers

The customer service reps may be misinformed probably because they don't smoke. But, people like Thompsons are one of the reasons this business is beginning to have a voice against taking away smoker's rights. Giants of the Midway are always good for something. Oh yeah I got to get my own avatar, my aunt liked to smoke but damn.
