Something interesting I'm finding out is that the manufacturers have "minimum" prices or "maximum" discounts they'll let us use. While most product is non-contract (no written maximum discounts), if we go too low, they will cut us off from supply. These maximum discounts are based on MSRP, so EVERYONE (CI, Mikes, Famous, Thompsons etc...) are all supposed to be on a level playing field.

I guess that's why you get a handful of FREEBIES from some sites -- to make-up for that margin they wish they could give you.

I hadn't expected the limitations when I originally started posting product and prices, so I'm having to make some course corrections to keep my suppliers happy.

Also, ****** closed my account! Even though I'm following their User Agreement -- following industry standards and laws -- they say, they interpret that as no PURCHASES or SALES of tobacco can be done through a ****** account. I'm fighting them to reopen my account (with no tobacco going through it) as I've had that account since they started and I really don't want to deal with starting over and getting verified and such again.

The last week or so has been a learning curve to say the least. But, we've been able to rally and make the changes we need to make to grow.

I'm not necessarily looking to dethrone CI (etc...). I just want to grap a handful of business and do it well.

Thanks to everyone that has bought through us so far and I hope everyone will consider us for their next online purchase. Remember, you're dealing with Seth and I when you buy through Chesapeake. If you every need to talk to us, you can PM, email or call the guys sitting at the counter of the store with the cigar smoke swirling around our heads. We're not perfect, but we make everything right for everyone!

Ok - I was the first to order on this site, my $100+ was taken via ****** and after many emails and PM's I still don't have any cigars. I am not the only one either. I've received many emails saying they were shipped, last one said USPS First Class with return receipt and now an email that says I will get my money back, well I'm waiting and not very pleased. Might want to give this site some time to get their place in order before you buy anything.
