So how often do your tastes change?

So my preferences in cigars Seems to change every six months or so. About 6 months ago I was smoking Rocky Patel cigars often, and it was not that I had a huge supply of these, rather it was that I was just really enjoying them. Now I seem to never reach for them, and I'm not really sure why. I still like the cigars, but I'm just never in the mood for one...

Does this happen to you?

Simple answer: You found Pepins.

My tastes change all the time and it annoys me because I end up with a bunch of cigars I'd rather not have.

Yes, actually. Hell you don't listen to just one song all your life do you? Don't worry, one day you'll be drooling for that Rocky Patel. Currently I am going through a Perdomo phase but, which one I prefer can change on a daily basis. A lot depends on time of day and what I am eating or drinking at the moment. That's why I now have 3 humidors and a tuperdor. Variety IS the spice of life.

Yea my tastes change frequently. My first loves were Oliva Classic O and Gurkha legends...then the Hemmingways and Davidoff Grand Cru's...then CC. I'm currently really digging the Partagas 898v, Monte #1, and VR Clasicos.

It's a toss up for me DPG Black, 601 Red, or Padilla '48

I never buy more than 5-10 of anything for just that reason. Except for Montecristo #4's love those things.

Well.... I've been smoking cigars for over 16 years. I smoke mild cigars for about 12 years or so, then I went to medium-full - more spicy cigars.

yes, but thats because I have so many different cigars I haven't smoked yet, that I'm always on to try the next thing instead of reaching for one I've already smoked. I'm not sure if thats a good thing or a bad thing.

I have about a dozen Monte #4's... Young or aged, I simply don't like them... I keep 'em for the people that just "have" to have a Cuban Cigar... <G> Much much better in the NC scene for my tastes...

My experience is very similar. I was on a Gurkha kick for a while, now I avoid most of them. I am on a pretty big Oliva kick now, La Aurora 1495's big time, and these ITC 10s. Will I grow tired of these too? Probably. Seems to happen at about the same interval...about six months.
