Pepin Black 2001 6X60

So I was at Kenny the King's on Saturday with Alanf and Mitro, and I noticed that Kenny had some of the new size of the Pepin Black, the 2001 which is 6 by 60. I picked up a couple and decided to smoke one of these for my first cigar of the day.

I must say that the Larger Ring was not a good thing with this cigar IMO. When I was talking with Mike (Mitro) he said that he likes the wrapper of this cigar so the larger ring would not do it for him, and I have to agree. The flavors were just not as pronounced as I would have liked, and I think it is because of more filler ratio in the cigar.

While I love the Pepin Black, the 2001 is not one of the lines I will be going back for again.

Thanks for giving us a review of that cigar, Brent.

I hope your week is a fine one.

Enjoy your other smokes,

I agree. I do not like the large ring gauge for this cigar. So far my favorite size is the Robusto. I have had several and havent found a bad one yet!

Thanx for the heads-up. I'll probably still give it a try - but I have my back-up stash of '79 robustos resting comfortably.
