Region B: Round 3: (6) 100 Anos vs. (15) Padron Regular Line
The 64 NC Cigar Tournament Continues, Round 3, chimpanzee that!!!
Basic Rules: 1. Voting for the "better" cigar of the two, why is up to you, list your reasons, smoke one or both, post up a short review maybe. The only condition is that its not based on how much the cigar costs. 2. I decided that any cigar that has multiple versions such as Olde World Corojo and Maduro or Edge Maduro, Corojo and Sumatra will just be included together, so you are considering all of the lines when you vote for the Edge or the Olde World. 3. Each Region will have its first round one at a time and then we'll proceed with the second round each region one at a time. 4. All cigars are seeded 1-16 per region, you'll see those numbers by each cigar during the contest. 5. Very limited cigars such as AF Anejos and Ashton ESGs were not included. 6. The voting for each matchup will be open for a week Have Fun!!! I went Aurora on this one. While I have smoked a couple of different sizes from the Padron regular line, and they were all consistently good, the 100 anos absolutely blew me away...

I'm not a big fan of La Aurora cigars but I do enjoy Padron. So you know how I voted.

Wow.... really a tough one. The Padrons are absolutely phenomenal with 2-3 yrs on them, but the 100 Anos are great right out of the box. Guess I have to go with La Aurora on this one.

I love both of these cigars. Putting price aside I have to go with the La Aurora. Though I think the regular Padron line is a better value.
Edit: Ihave to chuckle every time I see the 100 Anos listed here without the '~' over the 'n'. Remind me of a comment my spanish teacher used to say about asking how old someone is without the 'ny' sound. Look up 'anos' in a Spanish dictionary. |
