I had the robusto size Thought it was good.I smoked it to soon though same day i got it from the B&M. Should of let it rest a while before i torched it. Would buy them again.

awsome, how do they compare with the tubos and 1495 would you say its stronger?..reason im asken is te LA is a good smoke but just to mild for my taste, the barrels look like they might have a bit more strength to em.

It's a good cigar. I think it is a bit stronger than the 1495 but not that much, at least to my tastes. It definitely has a different taste than the 1495. Give one a try.

I liked the barrel aged, but my favorite La Aurora has to be the fresh rolled ones I got at an event here in IL...

I wrote this on a "worst cigar" thread a few weeks ago:

"The worst cigar ever for me has recently been the Aurora Barrel Aged (both Corona/londale size and robusto). Draw issues up front, burn issues down ones side through, cracking unwraveling wrapper, spongy "dead" spots in the construction, and poor taste through and through.

Have smoked a few of each to compare with similar results...tested each size at store humidity and dry box humidity...the worst cigar ever in my opinion."

Cool

Jose Blanco personally smoked one with me last night and I loved it! No burn problems, good draw, great taste. The one I had was perfect. The second batch of these ships next week according to Jose.

Maybe I just got 4 bad cigars from 4 different shops (bought one each time I visited a new shop when I moved here to Tampa a few months back).

I was hoping for an Anejo-esque flavor profile, but unfortunately the cigars I got happen to be disappointing at best I have always love La Aurora and will continue to smoke their other lines...this one just didn't work for me, and I refuse to spend any more money on the line...sorry Jose

I've had 4 so far - 2 Churchill's & 2 Torpedoes - one of each from 2 different B&M's - every one has been fantastic! Construction, burn, draw & wrapper were spot on, full rich taste without being super strong - has become a favorite of mine. Barrel Aged have a different blend & taste from the 1495 (another favorite) but equally good though a little stronger - have an unopened box of Belicoso (torpedo) that I am looking forward to getting in to.

It was just OK for me. Keep in mind I have only smoked one and should probably try a couple more before I give a solid opinion.

The one I had burned just fine, no construction issues. It wasn't bad but it just wasn't great either. I think it is just not my kind of flavor profile. The only cigar I have found that I really like that uses this sort of aging process is the Anejo.

So my opinion is that it will probably be a great smoke for some assuming it is their type of flavor profile. But for me it's not something I'll be working into the rotation.
