Region D: Round 3: (1) Opus X vs. (5) AF Hemingway

The 64 NC Cigar Tournament Continues, Round 3, chimpanzee that!!!

Basic Rules:
1. Voting for the "better" cigar of the two, why is up to you, list your reasons, smoke one or both, post up a short review maybe. The only condition is that its not based on how much the cigar costs.

2. I decided that any cigar that has multiple versions such as Olde World Corojo and Maduro or Edge Maduro, Corojo and Sumatra will just be included together, so you are considering all of the lines when you vote for the Edge or the Olde World.

3. Each Region will have its first round one at a time and then we'll proceed with the second round each region one at a time.

4. All cigars are seeded 1-16 per region, you'll see those numbers by each cigar during the contest.

5. Very limited cigars such as AF Anejos and Ashton ESGs were not included.

6. The voting for each matchup will be open for a week
Have Fun!!!

I'm not a big Opus fan, but have loved the Hemingways for years. I know it's not the popular choice, but I know what I like!

I agree with Webmeister here. I am usually disappointed with the Opus X because my expectations are hi, but the Hemingway never disappoints.

I was starting to cool on the Opus X, but I smoked 2 of the xXx Belicosos in the past week, and fell in love again.

I agree with the Opus X being over-hyped but I smoked a power ranger the other day that i've had for over a year and it was really great. I had to go opus.

I've never had an Opus that burned worth a @uck. Personally, I do not care for them. If it wasn't for that fancy band and the fact they are so limited, I really do not think there would be all the hype on this cigar. I'd much rather smoke something by Pepin, or an LG if you really want an a$$ kickin'! We all have opinions, and that is mine.

I am right with you on this one.... Opus X is THE MOST over rated cigar in the industry. You could put that pretty band on a black n Mild and they'd still sell. Great marketing by Fuente though, you gotta give 'em that.
