i was smokn a cigar earlier, torpedo shape and it had the hardest draw ever, my cheecks where sinking in like a crack head tring to get a decent puff off the thing. Luckly i had my pipe tool in my pocket ! and i shoved the reamer into it gently in about 3 spots and it opened it up quit nicely . i was still upset , but at least i didnt have to waste an entire cigar...just a thought for you all for the future, i know its not awsome, but it was definitly something i could work with and still enjoyed the cigar quite a bit.

I have smoked these cigars from time to time and they have pretty much been a very good smoke. I understand all too well that even good smokes often have quality issues no matter what they are. I used to rant and rave when I would come across these "bad" cigars and swore never again will I purchase a cigar without some kind of guarantee. I usually buy online from merchants who will unconditionally guarantee their product esp when they know that I am a good customer. When I have come across a bad cigar I will stop smoking it, cut off the ash and send it back and will get a new one within a week. Sometimes it pays to buy from a source that will guarantee its product.

the problem with this particular cigar is that I smoked most of it, but also its from a B&M I don't frequent very often, as the people there seem to not like me

and again, its not a huge deal, I will try it again, but the price kind of burned me so it might be a while till I tempt fate again

I had a Cohiba XV that was like that too. I thought it was just me. I guess that proves me wrong.

If you don't mind having to deal with inferior product and paying for it I guess it's a no-brainer. If I buy something and it doesn't give me what I expected I will usually let the owner know so he is aware of the problem and something is done in regards to compensation.

I bought a couple sample packs that had the Xikar cutter deal in them. I have not had a problem with the xv, but I did have a tight draw. The second one I had I cut a little extra off and it was fine....I was however worried about it unrolling.

The Cohiba XVs I have smoked where the best Dominican Republic Cohibas I have ever smoked. In fact the best ash I have ever had on a cigar was a XV.

I've got one in the humi crying to be toasted. I think that'll be my Saturday crossword puzzle smoke.

Well I am fired off a note to Cohiba, and they are going to try and contact me, or work something out. Hmmm...

I had an XV not too long ago (was gifted to me, and was pretty yellow in the cello HA), and it was pretty darn good I must say. Never had a "fresher" one though.

I must agree with all said. Have had a few XVs over the years, and was never very impressed with them. Construction or flavor..

Good thing there are thousands of other great cigars out there to SMOKE!!

It cut well, the pre-draw was rather tight, and the light up was normal in every way.

Then as I started to smoke down the stick it got tighter and tighter, the foot became soft, the wrapper started splitting and cracking. I tried to power through the problems, but couldn't put up with it in the end. This cigar made me sad, my first red dot cohiba and I couldn't even finish it.. and I think I paid more than 10 bucks for it.

I am not a fan of the Cohiba line in general but I loved the flavor of this cigar. With any cigar there may be burn issues. Give this one another chance.
