I bet that would be a sweat box in the summer. Sealed room, 100 degree air going in. Awesome room though! If money was no object, you would just have a small A/C unit with outside air intake for the room. There is no return for the house A/C either.

Any manufacturer info on the fans used & the duct heater unit? I'd like to increase the exhaust in my office because the ceiling exhaust fan doesn't cut it!

Ryan

Would you do anything different, now that you've been in it for a while?

I get that question a lot. There aren't many things I can think of I would do differently. My brother and I spent a lot of time researching things and talking to area professionals (ducting experts, general contractors, etc.) to make sure we did this right. In the dead of winter or in the heat of summer the room never deviates from 68 - 78 degrees so its always comfy. I had a guy contact me about a cigar room he was doing in Cali and that he needed to brainstorm a bit differently because the temps are too hot and he needed an A/C solution incorporated, but that was doable.

Great room for smoking and relaxing. Outstanding stuff. Am wondering where you store your cigars? I have built a 9x12 humidor that stores lots of smokes, houses a small hdtv, stereo surround and enough room to have two people be in there smoking comfortably. Like you, I worried about ducting, constant temps, etc. but, it all seemed to have worked out.
Anyway, outstanding job...
Best,
ylo2na
