Hey Anita, tell him to put a thin bead of clear silicone around the edges of the glass. It will block out Club Fisted spills and can be easily pealed away when he wants to change or add to the bands.

We don't have any trouble with smoking more to get more bands though.

Of course Connies made it on the lid! #9 Maddie is a great little smoke. And Anita, I agree with PuroBrat, a little silicon can go a long way!
Thanks again for all the compliments.

Hey Scott,

That looks like a fun and memorable project. It'll be great when it's finished.

Hey...have you figured out the cigar count for that baby?

Keep it going and "get er done"!

Re: Cigar Art Project...

You know something, I never bothered to count the bands.. Bear in mind, no band on it is alike, so counting them will just tell me how many DIFFERENT kinds of smokes Ive had... and Im sure there's some that I tossed before I started the project.. I may have to go home and count them.. Im at the in laws right now..

Re: Cigar Art Project...

Thanks man.. The idea just kinda came to me.. Ive had to start over a couple times in order to find a good glue that didn't wrinkle the bands. Found that a standard glue stick works best. I will be sure to get pictures of it in its current state tommorow or Tuesday. I have an email into Mark at Cigarmony about getting a couple of "pucks".. One for my "dress" humi and one for this art project.

Great work Scott. It must be very cool to know you have a one of a kind custom humi that has a history to it (lots of memorable smokes in the making of it).

Re: Cigar Art Project...

Here's an update, mostly for Blake Lockhart.. he's sent me some PM's on this thing and I finally got around to putting more bands on it.. Here is what the sides look like now.. Im ALMOST done with 4 different sides of it..
Top:

Front:

Left Side:

Right Side:

A couple more bands on the right side, and it will be finished, then I just move to the back side, then decopauge it, and its all finished up. Then I can start to work on the inside with spanish cedar, a hygro, and a "puck" from Cigarmony

That is very cool. Great idea. Better than how I have a bunch of bands paying all over my desk LOL

Scott,

Nice pics. Thanks for sharing.

OK... so I'm gonna make you a deal. When you're finished the humi., pm me your addy and I'll send you some treats to put in it. All I ask is that you put one of the bands that I send somewhere on the box. This is just a little more incentive for you to "getter done".

So whata' ya say, Scott...Deal or No Deal?
