OK... so I'm gonna make you a deal. When you're finished the humi., pm me your addy and I'll send you some treats to put in it. All I ask is that you put one of the bands that I send somewhere on the box. This is just a little more incentive for you to "getter done".

So whata' ya say, Scott...Deal or No Deal?
Dude, you got a deal... I will tell you what, I will save at least two spots on it for your bands. How's that sound? I will have to start smoking more!

Well, look at it this way.. you send one, it'll get on the humi, you send more than one, then at least two will get put on there You gotta deal man. I will post up more project pics as it gets further along.

I plan on lining the inside with cedar, and maybe building a seperating shelf for it as well. Here's some pics of the progression:
Here's what I started with, just the bands I had laying around:

And here's some more progression pics:

The lid, all done:

The start of the front:

And a current pic of the front:

I plan on covering every side in bands, with no band being a duplicate, as I mentioned above.. then when thats done, I will cover the whole thing with decopauge to protect the bands from wear and tear.. Then I will line the inside with cedar, and throw in some beads and a hygrometer... Interested to know what my fellow gorillas think...

Re: Cigar Art Project...

that is truly looking like a piece of art, reminds me of that cigar wallpaper with all the bands thrown around. Good on ya for taking something bland and making it into something beautiful

Re: Cigar Art Project...

Yeah, thanks for the compliments guys. There are some bands that I don't really care for the way they came out.. imperfections and such, but its all good.

That's one of those instances where gathering materials is just as fun as putting it together. Came out pretty cool.

Looks great, Scott,

Now it's time for me to take care of my end of the deal.

Your cigar will go out by Monday at the latest!
