Worst thing that I've seen is actually two fold.

First one was a humidor where obviously the humidity fluctuated wildly because 95% of the sticks were split at the ends. I pointed it out to the owner and he said that yeah, his humidifying device had been messing up lately. I asked him if he was considering reducing the price of most of his cigars because they were now what I would consider damaged. He simply stated, "Why? People will buy them". I didn't.

Second one was a mall humidor that I walked into. Well, it was like there was a herf going on in there. 10 guys in there chatting, all smoking in the humidor. It was like a haze in there. Didn't buy anything in there either.

The worse B&M I've been to also happens to be the closest to where I live which is too bad. The store was very warm and when I walked in the guy behind the counter looked like a deer caught in the headlight. I asked him if he was the owner and he said that he was the son. Apparently the shop has been there for over 5 years and this guy claimed he'd been smoking for about 3. I started asking questions and soon realized I knew a lot more than him, and I'm still new to this. I asked him what his favorite cigar was and of course he said Cohiba but couldn't tell me which one. Then I asked him what his everyday smoke was and he came up with a no name smoke that I wouldn't even call a cigar.
When I looked in the half dozen or so humi cabinets I did not see any hygrometers. To top it off, all the cigars and I mean all of them had white spotty fuzz all over. Needless to say I have not been back which is too bad because this B&M is only 10 minutes from where I live.

Wow. I've never seen anything like these stories and hope I never do! I saw plenty of fake cuban cohibas in Italy. One was so bad you couldn't read the right half of Cohiba because it was where the band overlapped. LMAO
