In all seriousness, we have a small handful of women customers at the store, but at wine festivals and such, we see about a third of our sales going to women. While many are looking for flavored, some will smoke a regular cigar. I note that women typically buy smaller vitolas -- although not always. I spent a hour and a half with a couple two weekends ago at a wine festival. He smoked an Acid Blondie and she smoked a Perdomo Habano Maduro Presidente -- exactly oposite of what the stereotype might lead one to think would happen.

Reverend Mike and WiseAsh those comments are not appropriate on this forum. We have women members. Do not post that sort of thing again. The post has been deleted.

There have been quite a few posts on this board very similar to the one you have deleted. Is there some sort of policy we should be following? I feel like I need to be careful what I say...walking on egg shells. :support: |

My wife also smokes cigars on occasion and started with the flavors but she enjoys some of the med to fuller bodied cigars especially with a glass of wine or brandy.

I was only joking, but I'm 1000% sorry if I offended anyone.

Back on to topic. I have observed more women smoking Maduro leaf wrappers then the Connecticut wrapper, of course that is the same for the men I see smoking too.
I'll have to do an observation this weekend and see what everyone is lighting. I just think this is interesting. When I really hadn't tried a cigar before, I was given a grape flavor cigar and was told it was delicious. I believe it was at the time, but I just can't see myself trying it again. |

Nothing seems to stay on topic very well anymore. He he. These events make me think of the last Dogwatchcast with Heather as their special guest. Heather was talking about her Women Cigar Smokers website and the hosts made notice how her site and articles never went down the "look at how sexy these hot women are and they're smoking cigars" avenue. As I mentioned before, it's still a boys club and it's definately a man's world. First thing they want to do is take the steriotypical response. Depending on the response it may or may not be offensive. The one's here weren't offensive, but they do make you cringe and say "oh great, this again." We're all adults here (most of us anyway) so we can deal with it, it's just that it takes away from the serious and informative nature of the original thread and turns it into T & A jokes.
Maybe our Houston group and all the women who participate in the herfs are an anomoly. Here's another thread topic for you Mel, how do the guys really feel about herfing it up with women around. Are they intimidated? Is her cigar bigger than his? Those are the answers I want to know. ![]()

Ok I'll speak for vegasgirl (Tiffany) since she doesn't seem to get online much anymore. She started out smoking flavor cigars too, but hasn't smoked one in forever. But she still doesn't smoke full bodied cigars. She sticks with the mild to med body. But at the same time she can only handle a couple drinks also LOL.

The women I know who have branched out from the flavored cigars prefer the Padron 3000, Padron 64, and AF 8-5-8
So I would say medium to medium-full |

Oh, you gotta try the Padron. The B&M we were at last week had them starting at $3 a stick so I picked up a couple. Small stick for $3, yes. But the best value in that shop for sure.

I like the Padron's myself and a Maduro is one of my favorite type of cigars. Mel is correct I beleive that a woman has a stronger taste pallet then a man.
