Thinking About Taking a Trip.

My wife and I usually take a vacation together. Then we have a seperate family trip somewhere that my daugther would enjoy. However, we have introduced the idea of each of us taking an individual trip just for some self time. This year my wife is going to Cali to visit a girlfriend that moved out there. So I'm starting to think of cigar friendly places that I can go next summer. The only rule is that it has to be in the country. I was thinking about Miami, but being from the Bahamas that would not be a new experience (though I have not visited Little Havana). Do you have to be a member of IPCPR to attend their events? The Big Smoke seems very expensive. So I'm a bit short on ideas. Any suggestions on places to go?

Miami - Little Havana is on my list. I hope to get there mid-February and again during the Final Four weekend.

I'm thinking the same thing ... Coming from Georgia its not that expensive. Maybe get a room on South Beach.

Yeah, South Beach is the place to stay. You can get a half-way decent room at a pretty reasonable price. From there I usually take a cab.

Thanks, so far Miami is the front runner.

Take a trip to Pennsylvania the third weekend in May next year for the annual Western Pennsylvania Cigar Crawl. Can't get more smoker friendly than that. Make a weekend of it. The event is on Saturday, but on Friday afternoon a bunch of the attendees get together and golf. Then Friday evening they have a pre-crawl dinner herf. Saturday is the event itself, a day long bus trip (including lunch and dinner) to area smoke shops. There are also tons of refreshments and drinks (alcoholic and non) on the bus all day. There are tons of giveaways, prize drawings, and just a whole lot of fun. On Sunday they usually plan some sort of post-crawl herf also. The past two years they went to a local sportsmen's club for sheet shooting.

Here's a link to a write-up I did on this year's event, which was my first time doing the crawl:

Here's a link to photos I took on the crawl weekend:

And here's a link to photos of my friend Dave and/or I that were taken during the weekend:

I can almost guarantee that if do this crawl, it will be one of the best weekend's you've ever spent anywhere!

Now that's something different. I'll add that to the options.
